Description:
Emotional support animals and service animals are becoming more popular and often agencies are unsure how to navigate the requirements. This training will cover:
- The role of an animal (whether companion, therapy, emotional support or service)
- ADA requirements & what is required of agencies
- What is required of the animal owner
- How emotional support animals and service animals can be beneficial to trauma survivors
Training is led by Rose Brooks Center Staff – Kendyl Clark, Pet Advocacy Manager
This training provides:
- 1.5 Continuing Education contact hours, approved by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
- 1.5 Continuing Education contact hours, in accordance with MO State Committee for Social Workers standards
- 1.5 Continuing Legal Education contact hours, approved by the Missouri Bar
