Research has shown the link between humans and animals can be life-changing and in some cases, life-saving. This training provides participants with an understanding about domestic violence, as well as:
how human violence and abuse towards animals are connected
how you can use a simple screening tool to determine if someone is experiencing violence
resources available to victims of domestic violence and their pets
Training is led by Rose Brooks Center Staff – Zoë Agnew-Svoboda, PAWS Place Program Coordinator
This training provides:
1.5 Continuing Education contact hours, approved by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
1.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education, accredited by the Missouri Bar
PENDING: Continuing Education contact hours, in accordance with MO State Committee for Social Workers standards
