Rose Brooks Center Training Questions

Rose Brooks Center trainings are geared for any professional who could potentially work with victim-survivors of intimate partner violence. Rose Brooks Center trainings are oriented toward training professionals how to appropriately respond to and assist victim-survivors of intimate partner violence in a trauma-informed, client-centered, equitable and inclusive way utilizing harm reduction and low-barrier modalities. Rose Brooks Center trainings are not intended to be utilized for therapeutic or psycho-educational purposes.
Currently, Rose Brooks Center trainings are worth CEUs in Kansas and CLEs in Missouri. Very soon, all community trainings will also be worth Missouri CEUs and Law Enforcement POST. Within one day of completing a Rose Brooks Center training, you will receive an email with a certificate of attendance attached. If you do not receive a certificate of attendance via email after having attended a Rose Brooks Center training, please email Jess Harman at jessicah@rosebrooks.org

Please only register yourself and do not share your training link. After you register for training, you will be sent a link to join via email. If you share this link to join with other individuals, then these other individuals won’t receive certificates of completion for having attended or continuing education credits.
Rose Brooks Center uses an online webinar software called GoToTraining. GoToTraining is free to use and does not require downloading software to your computer. You can learn more about GoToTraining by visiting their website www.gotomeeting.com/training

GoToTraining Questions

GoToTraining is a web-hosted online training service. It is an online classroom and desktop sharing software that enables the user to present their screen to other trainees and students via the Internet in real time. You can attend a training from anywhere, anytime using a compatible computer or mobile device. GoToTraining is free to download and use.
You can choose to download the GoToTraining Desktop Application on your Windows or Mac computer or using the GoToTraining Instant Join app, you can join trainings entirely within your web browser (rather than installing and using the GoToTraining desktop app). Yes – there is no cost for attendees to use GoToTraining.
GoToTraining sessions are completely private and secure. All of their solutions feature end-to-end Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption. No unencrypted information is ever stored on their system.
GoToTraining solutions use HTTP outbound connections to transparently enable screen-sharing sessions, even with corporate firewalls in place. In most cases, organizers and attendees can connect to LogMeIn's servers without re-configuring firewall settings.
No, neither organizers nor attendees can catch or be exposed to viruses from downloading GoToTraining software. They continuously monitor their development environment for viruses and malware, and all of their downloadable software is digitally signed to prevent tampering by third parties. The warning message customers might see when they install the software is a default message displayed by their browser whenever they download executable files.
You can browse GoToTraining’s website without having cookies enabled.
Utilize the chat feature within the training session to communicate your technical difficulties or email the trainer directly.
